Here I am pictured with my husband, in a snapshot we took recently, as we were having fun decorating for Christmas 2010. We have been through a lot in our nearly 22 years of marriage, but God is faithfully bringing us through each trial we encounter. We are more in love than ever and are looking forward to God using us for His glory, in the future. I mention all of this because I am so thankful for my husband. I couldn’t do what I do without all of his help and support. He has encouraged me, supported me, financed most of my schooling & equipment purchases I need for my business (including my new Macbook Pro), driven me all over the place and patiently waited and assisted me while taking pictures in the field; even in the harshest of conditions, and too many other things to list here. I would be remiss if I did not use this opportunity to thank him, here, for all of his love and support. Thank you, my love! Okay, now, let me tell you more about myself & how I came to be a photographer...

My love for photography began when I was a child. I received my first camera when I was ten. I think I've always taken more pictures than the average person, even before I studied photography. In May of 2003 I was in a car accident where I sustained injuries that pretty much rendered me useless. I began studying photography books from the library. Several months later, I bought a used Canon SLR film camera. Not long after, I was able to accompany our family on a trip to Yellowstone National Park. The rest is history.

I now shoot with a Canon 20D. For the most part, I like my images to look as natural as possible without heavy filters or excessive changes to the original, RAW files. My passion is capturing God's creation as I find it, whether or not it contains man-made objects. My strongest desire is that God be glorified & others be blessed and inspired by my captures of God's awesome creation. Living in the beautiful state of Idaho, with my husband and children, I have no lack of subjects to photograph. I am currently doing photography part-time & am a student with the New York Institute of Photography. When I finish my studies & my other child graduates high school, I will pursue photography full time.

Please let me know you were here. To do so, you may sign my guestbook, comment on a photo, or e-mail me. One of the best compliments you can give me is to share my work with your family & friends; another is to purchase my work. If you've done any of these, I sincerely thank you!

Blessings,
Kathleen
